(Trans)forming Science:
Towards a Transgender-Inclusive Science Higher Education in India
"(Trans)forming Science" attempts to document & understand the lived realities of transgender, gender non-conforming and gender non-binary persons in the Indian science ecosystem.
The project was initially conceived by me in 2020 as a part of TheLifeofScience.com's Season 5. At that time, the project was called "Transgender persons in Indian Science" and was supported by the DBT-Wellcome Trust India Alliance & the Thakur Foundation.
More recently, an early-career fellowship from the Transforming Education for Sustainable Futures (TESF), & the ReFrame Institute of Arts and Expressions have helped the project rechristen itself, gain recognition, and continue to remain active.
This page documents the outputs of the project starting September 2022.

Note: If you would like to support/participate in the project, please write to me at sayantan[at]thelifeofscience[dot]com.
